WELCOME

MAIDSURE Services founded in 1990 Southampton England offers the services of electronic testing of yacht standing rigging, the manufacture and supply of rig test instruments and also the design and supply of twistle rigs for down wind sailing.

The testing of Yacht rigging was developed from experience gained in the electricity industry where many thousands of similar joints are tested on the National Grid System.

The TWISTLE RIG was developed by MAIDSURE SERVICES and RATSEY & LAPTHORN in 1995 and introduced to the TRADE WIND RALLY when 7 of the 40 yachts cruising around the world used the TWISTLE RIG for running conditions. The rig today is in general use in the:-

Comments received from customers sailing in The ARC and BLUE WATER RALLYS

Yacht Discovery 55 December 2002
"The TWISTLE RIG is really doing its stuff. We are averaging 8.4 knots and when the gust comes we surf down the waves and reach speeds of 13knots. The whole boat just zings! We are sailing dead down wind with St Lucia on the nose. When the gust come along-20-30+ knots we just go faster no need to trim the sails."

Yacht Hallberg-Rassy 43 ARC 2006
"After a lightning 16-day crossing skipper Tony was understandably delighted in his boat and crew`s performance. She flew! We did really well. And the secret of his success? The TWISTLE RIG. We put it up an hour out of Las Palmas and took it down three hours before arriving in Rodney Bay. There was no chafe and it was one finger sailing all the way. The mainsail remained neatly stowed right across the Atlantic"
